My daughter Desi and I moved to Allen County, KS a year ago. We fell in love with the atmosphere and supportive friendly faces. We did find that many of our more vulnerable neighbors were not getting all their medical needs met due to prices of necessary medical equipment. This is where our dream steps in.

Desi was in need of a power chair for her more painful days. We were told that Kansas just couldn't afford it and would place us on a waiting list.

If the state is unable to help her, what about others who need 24/7 medical equipment? Who better to step up and help out the community than a Mom who has always worked with this population!

Desi's Dream Thrift Store is a nonprofit organization that will be giving back to our neighbors who are in need of medical supplies. Whether you need an item for a short time or forever (if only short time, we do ask that you return it for the next person who may be in need).

We plan on having a bi-annual auction and dinner to also help raise funds and are happy to take donations of previously loved items.

If you are a company who can help us to raise funds, please reach out and we will get you the appropriate tax paperwork for your records. Thank you and we are excited to open shortly in Humboldt KS!

What We Do

Sales and Fundraising events

Through retail we raise funds for medical equipment for our disabled community.

We also host bi-annual events for fund raising.

Donations

Through generous financials and gently used items we are able to raise funds for expensive needed equipment.

We are run by volunteers who have a desire to help others in the community
